As COVID-19 has changed the way we live from day to day, we made a promise to you to keep you informed about your Yearbook. At this time, due to COVID-19, we have had government-mandated shut-downs that have reduced our capacity for printing yearbooks. As we work to safely return to our production facilities, be assured that everyone who ordered a yearbook will receive one. However, in certain instances the delivery of your yearbook may be delayed. We will let you know as soon as yearbook are delivered.
Update from Lifetouch regarding Yearbooks!
Thank you for your patience with us during these unprecedented times. We are doing our best to get the yearbooks delivered to you as quickly as possible, however, we are unable to fully commit to a specific date. Currently our yearbook plants are open and printing, but are running on a reduced staff to adhere to social distancing mandates necessitated by the COVID-19 pandemic. We have never experienced a season like this before. Especially during peak printing season . Starting with a quick shut down in production in March due to the COVID 19 virus. We were thankful they were able to get back opened quickly but the main focus was producing face shields for the medical field in order to be deemed essential. The main focus did shift back to yearbooks although the staff level remains at 50% due to regulations for social distancing. They are working around the clock to print the yearbooks. We did experience another dip in staffing due to 3 of our 4 facilities having a staff member test positive for COVID 19. There was a short shut down in those facilities to clean and disinfect everything and adhere to policy after having a positive case. Like everywhere in the country, we experienced staff feeling uncomfortable going back to work in fear of getting the virus so we had a constant dip in staffing as well. If that wasn't enough, two facilities were affected by the recent riots. This caused another brief shut down. Although they are back to printing in those two facilities there were some mandated curfews in place while the cities recovered from the recent events. This did not allow those two facilities to print 24 hours. Our focus has not changed though. We are still committed to getting a yearbook into the hands of everyone that ordered a yearbook as quickly as possible in the current climate.
We are receiving a daily update with books in production and preparing to ship. I will provide as much information as I know when I know it. Once I see your school preparing to ship I will reach out to you with more information. That will likely be the only update I have for an arrival date at this time, although we are living in a world where information changes daily.
