At Danville Area High School, we pride ourselves on excellence. Whether is be in the classroom, on the field, or participating in a variety of our extracurricular activities and clubs, our students excel in many areas at DHS. With an enrollment of approximately 650 students, DHS features nearly 60 certified and highly-qualified teachers that take great pride in the achievements of our students.

    All district students in grades 9 through 12 attend classes at DHS. The 180-day school year is divided into 2 semesters; 4 nine-week grading periods; 8 forty-three minute instructional periods in a school day. We pride ourselves on the high achievement of all students in our building. Some of our most recent accomplishments include:

    • 2014 National Blue Ribbon School for Closing the Achievement Gap (One of 48 high schools in the nation to receive this highly coveted award)
    • Ranked in the top 3.5% in the nation by US News and World Report
    • Ranked #1 high school in the region out of seventeen school districts in the Central Susquehanna area in our Pennsylvania School Performance Profile (PA SPP)
    • More than an 85% average pass rate on Advanced Placement (AP) Exams
