    710 Art I Grades 9, 10, 11, 12

    This course is an elective which is available to all students. Concepts taught are drawing, sketching, mechanical perspective, color theory, painting, graphic arts, sculpture, tile making, lettering and ceramics.

    712 Ceramics I Grades 11, 12

    6 days / cycle Rank - 4 0.5 credit 1 semester

    This course includes all forms of hand building, throwing on the wheel, design, sculpture, glaze mixing and firing. Prerequisite: Art II and Department permission. 43

    714 Graphics Grades 11, 12

    6 days / cycle Rank - 4 0.5 credit 1 semester

    In this course, students will learn traditional printmaking techniques including: engraving, etching, collagraph, monotype, and silkscreen. Prerequisite: Art II and Department permission.

    718 Painting Grades 11, 12

    6 days / cycle Rank - 4 0.5 credit 1 semester

    Students will learn the academic style of oil painting, and how to stretch and prime canvas. Students will work from still life for the first quarter, and then abstract painting and self-portrait. Prerequisites: Art I,  Department permission.
