DHS Student Competes in Invention Competition
On February 15th, DHS sophomore Priscal Kasyanju traveled to the Kalahari Resort in the Poconos to compete in the statewide Invention Convention Competition. The competition is held each year to highlight creative students in our commonwealth. Students who participate create a prototype of an original invention, keep a log of their ideas and progress, and create a demonstration video. Students then set up a display and do a live in-person presentation and demonstration at the competition for the judges. Priscal was interviewed by WNEP-16, and you can see her interview here. Priscal did not win at the state level this time, but she plans to return next year! She also plans to visit students at the middle school and intermediate school to encourage them to participate. Way to go, Priscal!
